Dickhead of the new year
I discovered a couple of days ago that my secret number to access the voice mail on my cell phone no longer worked. Hoping it was just a glitch, I waited a couple of days and tried again. Still no go. Walking past a KTF store on my way home, I decided to stop in and ask for help.
"Try 0-0-0-0," the guy said. "Tried that." "Try the last 4 digits of your phone #." "What the?" He punched the numbers into my phone, and magically everything worked. The guy looked at me as if I was an idiot.
I've had the same phone number for more than seven years, and my secret number has never ever been what it was today.
Pressed for an explanation, the **** finally told me that all the secret numbers changed on January 1st of this year. Of course. How stupid of me for not knowing.

Spam Singles

One more testament to Korea's Spam (the meat) love: Spam that's already sliced and ready to put on your sandwichy.
It's not visible in the picture, but there's a notice next to the display asking you to refrain from eating any of the goods until you've left the store. I hate to imagine what prompted such a notice. How tantalizing those Spam Singles must be.

Dogs and Babies
Dogs and babies are exact opposites. Babies take things from you and throw them on the floor. Dogs run and get things that you've thrown on the floor and bring them to you.

Sony
Been looking for a good summary of the whole Sony rootkit fiasco. There's a wealth of information to be found, but it's more than most people likely want to read.
Now I've found one: this list of 49 questions by Scott Granneman of SecurityFocus. Enjoy.
